Patent Litigation

Patent litigation involves the assertion of or defense against an issued patent. The team at Devlin Law firm has expertise in patent litigation and is ready to help you enforce your patent portfolio or defend against patents asserted against you or your company.

Ms. Williams has successfully represented clients in the district courts throughout the United States and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)'s PTAB. At present, many patent disputes involve interoffice proceedings including petitions for inter partes review (IPR) where defendants seek to invalidate patents asserted against them.  Ms. Williams has extensive experience representing Patent Owners with defending the validity of their patents before the PTAB.

Ms. Williams seeks to employ a litigation strategy that is cost-effective and economically logical. As such, preliminary diligence is conducted to assess monetary exposure with any strategy considered.

Ms. Williams is exceptionally well versed in assisting clients with prosecution and defense techniques as means to protect your trademark rights and your brand. She presently serves as the Co-Chair of the Trademark Practice Group at Devlin Law Firm, having successfully represented clients in various U.S. district courts and interoffice proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), Copyright Office Review Board, and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
